I have been making these yummy rolls for a couple of years now. They are a well loved recipe.
Chop up 10 Kalamata Olives and set aside 10 for half qty 15/20 for full qty
Mix 30g Chia Seeds with 50g water and set aside
Into the Bowl add Either of these combinations
150g Milk
200g Water
OR
300g Buttermilk
50g Water
Heat on speed 6 at 40 degrees for 3 Minutes
Add 10g Yeast and 10 g Maple Syrup and mix on Speed 6 for 1 minute
Add 200g Wholemeal Plain Flour
Add 400g White Bakers flour
Add 40g Olive Oil
Add 1 tsp salt
Using Pastry Programme 1 for 2 minutes stop at the 1 minute mark add in chia mix and continue
Push down in the bowl and launch P1 Pastry programme again for another 1 and half minutes
Place dough into a oiled bowl and cover with Beeswax Wrap
OR gladwrap (lightly spray glad wrap so it doesn’t stick to top of dough when it rises
Once doubled in size gently flatten out slightly and add olives by sprinkling over .
If you wish you can split into two lots and do half plain and half with olives, which is what I do as my kids don’t like olives – yet.
Shape out into rolls
Allow to rise and brush lightly with oil or milk.
Pop into a preheated 190degree oven for around 20 minutes.
