Omelette in the Cuisine Companion External Steamer

 

Healthy steamed , light and fluffy omelette in your Cuisine Companion external steamer. So easy to do and best of all minimum dishes involved ! Clean up is a breeze

The below recipe ingredients and method is for 6 eggs you can adjust up or down to 8 eggs. Don’t over fill the external steamer

Ingredients
6 eggs
80g milk or buttermilk or cream
qty of cheddar cheese and parmigiana cheese ( approx 50-70g )
1-2 slices of ham diced
1-2 spring onions
1/3 of a capsicum diced
3 cherry tomatoes sliced in half
1 -2 stalks of fresh herbs , parsley basil etc leaves only chopped up finely.
700g water

You can mix it up and add in your favourite omelette fare below are a few extra suggestions.
1-2 mushrooms
8-10 spinach leaves
red onion
zucchini

Method 

  • Under running water scrunch a piece of baking paper, a big enough piece to cover over the edges of the top layer of baking paper
  • Lay the paper smoothed out, damp but not dripping wet and place in the top steamer tray.
  • You can either mix your ingredients in the CC bowl with the whisk and then wash out the bowl OR whisk in a seperate bowl.
  • Pour the ingredients over the scrunched paper.
  • Fill the CC bowl with 700g of water
  • Set the CC at Auto Programme 1 Steam which will be 100 deg for 30 minutes until cooked. 6 eggs and the above ingredients took exactly 30 minutes. Adjust as needed for quantity.
