Chicken Corn and Noodle Soup in the Cuisine Companion

 

One of our absolute favourites – easy and quick . We usually have a Lebanese Pita Bread Pizza with this as an accompaniment – which we share 2 between the 4 of us
This soup is great all year round. Its especially good when you are under the weather.
I have also been able to increase the quantities with the larger 2.5 litre Tefal Cuisine Companion bowl ! I have put the smaller to larger qty in case you only want to make the usual smaller amount
Serve with any of my bread products , rolls  on the website  , baguettes ( in my cookbook ) pull apart loaf on the website

 

Ingredients

2 garlic cloves
1 onion quartered
2-3  Stalk Celery chopped into smalll pieces
2 -3 carrots chopped into small pieces
Small piece of Ginger (optional) – I don’t use this as our children don’t like the taste
30 g Oil
1000 g up to 1350g  water
1 tblsp chicken stock paste (about 30g ) –  Or Vege Stock Paste ( about 30g)

200g -300g Roast chicken (whatever you have) ( or poach a large chicken breast )
100g Frozen Corn Kernels
50g -100 g Vermicelli ( about 2.5 little hay stacks 😉 ) OR Spaghetti broken into quarters

 

Method 

Place ultrablade in bowl

Chop Onions into 1/4’s and add into bowl.

Add in garlic

Press Speed 12 for 10 secs

Add Oil

Mix on Auto programme Slow Cook 1 for 2 mins 30 seconds

Add in Carrot and Celery and blitz at speed 10 for 10 secs

Change to Stirring Attachment
Add in Chicken , Water (1350g) and stock and cook at Speed 3  at 100 degrees for 15 minutes
Weigh in Corn and Vermicelli OR Spaghetti ( broken up )
Cook on Speed 3  at 100 degrees for 10 minutes
