Nut Butter ( Cuisine Companion )

“Its Not Butter” no “Its NUT Butter”

Its so easy to make your own nut butter using a variety of nuts. Almonds , Cashews , Macadamia’s or Peanuts are all good choices. Different nuts produce different creamy textures and natural oils so have a play with different combinations.

Note : You can do up to 600g max of nuts in the Tefal Cuisine Companion

150g Almonds ( or peanuts )
300g cashews
1/2 tbsp  – 1 tbsp Macadamia oil

Insert the Crushing blade  – you must only use this for crushing nuts and hard items like ice etc

Crushing:Kneading Blade
Place nuts into the CC Bowl on top of the scales and weigh out quantities
Here I have weighed out the 300g of Cashews and then I will press TARE and weigh in the 150g of Almonds

Nutsweighed

Add in a pinch of salt here if desired – usually I use Salted Cashews and do not add extra salt

After all the nuts have been weighed in pulverise the nuts at speed 12 for 1 minute and 30 seconds
Scrape down and then continue on at speed 12 for another 30 Secs to a minute
{ depending on the nuts you use Almonds require more time than Peanuts }
Then whilst the machine is going at Speed 12 drizzle in around a tablespoon of Macadamia Oil through the hole in the lid.

Add another half a tablespoon of oil if desired Continue to mix to desired consistency.

  1. I’d love to know your thoughts on the differences between the Thermie and the Tefal. Do you find changing blades a problem at all?
